These simple systems can deliver clean, reliable power to light up rural homes and businesses, and enable connectivity with the world by powering cell phones and laptops. Solar energy offers multiple benefits that enhance daily life and increase productivity. These systems can also save a typical rural household around USD25 per month (USD300 per year) on phone charging fees and lighting alternatives such as paraffin for lamps, candles and torches.
